Susan Quill

Susan is excited to begin her second term on the Vestry. In the summer of 1992, Susan Quill joined St. Paul’s upon the invitation of her then fiancée, Jeffrey Quill, who spent his teenage years with St. Paul’s youth group. Raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, Susan found familiarity in the Episcopal community. Through St. Paul’s welcoming embrace, she and Jeffrey married in 1993, raised two children, Emma and Ethan, and found treasured friendships.
Groups and activities, such as church school, The Village, confirmand sponsorships, youth group, Parish Fellowship Committee, and Women’s Council, offered Susan opportunities to explore and deepen her faith. Beyond the parish walls, Susan is an active member of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), currently serving as concurrent president for the Cuyahoga Mission Area and for the Diocese of Ohio, which elected her as delegate to the 2018 ECW Triennial in Austin, Texas. Her position in ECW also allows for a seat with a voice on the Diocesan Council.
Susan earned a BA in English from John Carroll University and an MBA from Cleveland State University. She is the IT Operations Manager for American Greetings, her employer of more than 24 years.
Throughout the years, Susan has held leadership and treasury positions in PTAs, parent booster clubs for sports and music, Boy Scout Troop 403, and neighborhood committees. The flurry of parenting activities has diminished as Emma and Ethan have launched, leaving more time for reading, knitting, gardening, outdoor activities, Kirkland Bird Club, and her favorite, traveling with Jeffrey.
