March 28, 7:30 p.m.: Maundy Thursday Service
This service celebrates Jesus’ institution of the Eucharist and includes a ritual foot washing as we observe Jesus’ command to love and serve one another. The Rev. Jeanne Leinbach preaches. The service concludes with dramatically stripping all adornment from our worship space.
March 29, Noon: The Last Seven Words of Christ
Spanning the three hours Jesus hung on the cross, this community ecumenical service includes psalms, hymns, prayers, time for silence, and Dubois’s The Seven Last Words of Christ sung by St. Paul’s Senior Choir. Seven area clergy will preach meditations on the traditional last words of Jesus. Come for any portion of this service or the whole three hours.
