2024 Annual Stewardship | St. Paul's Cleveland Heights

Thank you to the many households who have made a pledge or gift to the 2024 Stewardship Campaign. This campaign is essential for supporting the annual operating expenses of St. Paul’s during the coming year (as distinct from the capital campaign which supports capital needs and long-term financial health of the parish). As of November 27, we have received 171 pledges or gifts totaling $788,810. This is down significantly from last year at this time when we had received 189 pledges totaling over $910,000. This decline is largely due to the loss of a large number of parishioners over the past year, many having passed away and others who’ve moved out of state. While we are excited to report that 12 new households have made first-time pledges this year, it still takes some time to build back after the loss of several very generous donors.

The Budget and Finance Committees are currently preparing a draft budget to present to the Vestry for approval in early January. If you have not yet submitted your estimated giving form for 2024, we encourage you to do so soon. By sharing with the church what you anticipate giving during the coming year, we can prepare a more responsible and responsive budget to ensure the continuation of our most essential ministries.

The Book of Common Prayer guides our liturgical services. Our varied service schedule provides opportunities to worship in diverse ways, from traditional to more contemporary. There is worship bulletin that will assist you through the service.

Childcare is offered on Sunday mornings for children ages infant through Pre-K from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Our paid staff is trained in health and safety, and silent pagers are made available to parents of infants and toddlers. Please ask a greeter or usher for directions to the childcare rooms.

Sunday morning Christian Formation classes for children and youth meet most Sundays from 10 to 11 a.m. from September through May.
