Dear Friends,

After 14 longs months, I am so happy to be able to share good news about in-person worship and programming. St. Paul’s parishioners are mostly vaccinated, which is key to us being able to gather in-person once again. However, we are still watching the case numbers in Cuyahoga County, number two in the state for cases per 100,000. Please remain cautious and follow these guidelines for St. Paul’s: please stay home if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms; remain masked and socially distanced; no food consumption; we recommend that only fully vaccinated people attend.

As I described last week, beginning this Sunday, we will stream a worship service at 8:30 am. The link to the service will be included in the Thursday e-newsletter (see below) and will be available on our website. Streaming means you will be watching the clergy and the lectors in real time. Since we are still not allowed to sing indoors, we will continue to record music ahead of time, which will be inserted during the streamed service. If you are not able to watch the service at 8:30 am, the service will be recorded while it is streaming and will be available on YouTube and Facebook immediately following the service.

Beginning May 23rd, we will add an outdoor service 10:00 am (followed by the Bells at 11:00 am). On May 30th, we will add a second outdoor service at 5:00 pm. (We hope you will be joining us on May 23rd at 4:00 pm to hear from Austin Channing Brown, author of I’m Still Here.) We can accommodate up to 70 at each service – registration is required. The registration link will be included in the Thursday e-newsletter and will be available on our website. We will be masked and socially distanced. You are welcome to bring your own comfy, outdoor chairs. Folding chairs will be available. If it is raining, we will move the service indoors. We are allowed to sing outdoors, but please remember that we are not yet able to sing indoors.

Beginning on Monday, May 10th, groups and committees may meet at the church. Meeting outside is preferable. However, you are welcome to find a space indoors providing the space is large enough to accommodate your group socially distanced. Please call or email Pam to reserve a space.

We hope to set up times for personal prayer in the Nave beginning next week. We will send out an announcement early next week with guidelines and directions. Also, we will include information in that email on the reopening of the Act II shop.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I’m so looking forward to seeing you all soon! We have many activities planned for the summer months, so we can enjoy spending time together once again: Holy Hiking Groups, Healing Prayer Worship Services, Outdoor Movie Nights, Yoga, and more! Thanks be to God! Stay tuned for more information…

Peace,

Jeanne+
