The Gospels tell of Jesus’ birth but do not mention a feast associated with it. This presentation will explain how Christmas came into being, how December 25 became the date for the feast, how the unnamed, unnumbered magi became three kings with names, and how the Christmas season came into being.
On Sunday, December 13, Dr. Joseph Kelly, Professor of Theology and Church History at John Carroll University, will help us look toward Christmastide by sharing insights on the origins of parts of the Christmas story. Plan to join us at 10 a.m. in the Dining Room!
