  • St. Paul's Tucker Hall

Hate cooking on a Friday night? Come to St. Paul’s Tucker Hall on Friday, November 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and help yourself to 15 hearty homemade soups! You’ll find old favorites like chicken noodle, split pea with ham, vegetable, minestrone, and chili, along with some new recipes. For $12, adults can enjoy as much soup as they wish, plus a variety of breads, desserts, and beverages. Kids under 12, just $8. You won’t have to cook, and 100% of the money raised goes to support Episcopal schools in El Salvador.

Los Amigos Episcopales (Episcopal Friends) is a 23-year-old collaboration between five Ohio Episcopal churches: St. Thomas, Berea; St. Matthew’s, Brecksville; St. Paul’s, Medina; Church of Our Savior, Akron; and St. Paul’s, Cleveland Heights. This 501(c)3 peace and justice ministry has been active in the Diocese of Ohio since 1992. The annual Sundown Soup Supper is the major fundraiser of Los Amigos Episcopales, and the proceeds keep Episcopal schools up and running in El Salvador. The wife of the Bishop of El Salvador is the principal of one of the schools we support, and she tells us that the schools are safe havens for children living in the shadow of unspeakable urban violence.

This is the first year that St. Paul’s has hosted the Sundown Soup Supper, and we warmly invite our parish family and friends to come and show their support while enjoying a delicious dinner and each other’s company.

To purchase tickets in advance, please call Connie Hanson at (216) 283-4896. Connie will be selling tickets on Sunday mornings, October 11 & 18. Let’s have a big showing for Los Amigos Episcopales!
