St. Paul’s offers programming for adults on Sundays at 10 a.m. that examines a theme and current issues, seeking to connect our beliefs with our experience. The Adult Education Committee invites all to attend Adult Forum in the Dining Room at 10 a.m. on these Sundays in January.
January 10: Politics and Spirituality
The 2016 presidential campaign is heating up. How might, or should, we use spirituality to guide our voting decisions and to weigh public policy? How can we best deal with a political process that seems, to many, to be dysfunctional or broken? Come hear Professor Doron M. Kalir of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law discuss politics and spirituality.
January 17: Listen for a Change
The Adult Forum continues its month-long theme of Spirituality in the Public Square with video excerpts previewing the 2016 Trinity Institute webcast to be aired at Trinity Cathedral from January 21-23. Associate Rector Richard Israel will show and lead discussion of 3-5 short video offerings from Conference speakers who seek to engage the church in sacred conversations for racial justice. January 31: Gun Violence and Its Impact on Youth
Three Greater Cleveland Congregations members will present a forum on gun violence and youth. Donna Weinberger of GCC’s Strategy Team and Do Not Stand Idly By National Team, GCC organizer Khalilah Worley and Jeremy Cronig, president, National Federation of Temple Youth, will discuss this timely, vitally important and close-to-home topic, and take questions.
