Kathryn Tschiegg, executive director and founder of Central American Medical Outreach (CAMO) will visit St. Paul’s on Sunday September 22, at 12:30 p.m. to talk about the CAMO Literacy Program and how St. Paul’s volunteers have been collaborating to improve children’s literacy in thirteen elementary schools in rural Honduras.
The CAMO Literacy Program is an ongoing collaboration between Central American Medical Outreach Group, St. Paul’s Global Mission Action Group, and Third World Books. Using PowerPoint and first-hand anecdotes, Kathy Tschiegg will introduce us to some of the Honduran children who are learning to read thanks to this important program. Learn how the program is already bearing fruit, what the next steps will be, and opportunities to get involved.
Global Mission Action Group will host a parish potluck in the Dining Room for this event. Please bring a dish to share and join us in welcoming Kathy to St. Paul’s.
