Nativity Book Discussion

Event details

Liz Young will lead a discussion of the book The Season of the Nativity: Nativity coverConfessions and Practices of an Advent, Christmas & Epiphany Extremist by Sybil Macbeth.

Macbeth is best known for her book Praying in Color. She writes that Advent and Epiphany are the often-neglected parentheses around Christmas. And they deserve more attention and better publicity. This Season of the Nativity sets the stage for the liturgical year, our year-long journey through Scripture and salvation history.

The book has pages of practices and activities that invite individuals and families to enjoy the season of the nativity in a way that has more peace and more Christ and less chaos and guilt. She offers simple tools for busy people to reclaim a joyful and serious nativity season.

Purchase a copy of this new book in the Parish Office for $15 and start reading! Then join us in Coventry House for the four-part discussion from
4 to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays, November 23, December 7, December 14, and January 11.
