Mission & Formation at St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s Adult Forum programming for the month of September will focus on the formation our children and youth receive through summer mission trips and the faith formation we offer every week. Even if you don’t have school-age children, you’ll want to attend these forum presentations to learn how St. Paul’s is helping its youngest parishioners navigate their journeys of faith.

Youth Perspective: Harlan Mission Trips
St. Paul’s will kick off the Adult Forum program year with a special presentation by a panel of youth who went on the mission trip to Harlan, Kentucky, this summer.  Ken Brown, who has helped lead these mission trips for many years, will give an overview of the trip and the philosophy behind “mission trips.”  Members of our youth group will reflect on their experience and how it differed from and surpassed their expectations.  Come see the work they did and hear our youth reflect on the spiritual growth they experienced during this “labor of love.”

Through the Eyes of a Child: Ministries for Children & Youth
Not just for parents! Come experience the journey of faith through the eyes of a child and gain a deeper understanding of the comprehensive breadth of St. Paul’s ministries for children and youth. Meg von der Heydt, Director of Children’s Ministries, will explore the theology of childhood and adolescence and offer an overview of the ways in which St. Paul’s is launching our young people onto paths of lifelong spiritual engagement. The responsibility for children’s faith formation belongs to all of us!  Come learn about the exciting opportunities for St. Paul’s to support our young people in their life in Christ.
