  • St. Paul's Tucker Hall

On Kick Off Sunday, September 9, at 10:10 a.m., St. Paul’s will welcome to the first Adult Forum of the program year Andrew Collins and Jameel McGee, authors of Convicted: A Crooked Cop, an Innocent Man, and an Unlikely Journey of Forgiveness and Friendship.

When officer Andrew Collins framed Jameel McGee for possession of crack cocaine, the surprising result was a transformative journey for both men. Falsely convicted, Jameel spent three years in federal prison. Andrew also went to prison a few years later for falsifying police reports. While behind bars, the faith of both men deepened. Once they were released, their lives collided again in a moment brimming with mistrust and anger.

Join us as we welcome Andrew and Jameel to St. Paul’s to tell their story, revealing how they chose to let go of fear and a thirst for revenge to pursue reconciliation for themselves, their community, and our racially divided nation. All are welcome at 10:10 a.m.  in Tucker Hall on September 9. Bring a friend!
