Please join us on Friday, October 23 at 7 p.m. for the Celebration of a New Ministry as the Rev. Jeanne A. Leinbach is installed as the sixteenth rector of St. Paul’s. The Rt. Rev. Mark Hollingsworth, Jr., Bishop of Ohio, will preside over this formal service of induction. An organ prelude will begin at 6:30 p.m. and a festive reception will immediately follow the service in Tucker Hall.
The Celebration of a New Ministry formalizes and celebrates the mutual ministry upon which the new rector and the congregation are embarking together. Parishioners and guests are invited to witness the promises made by the priest who has been called to proclaim the Gospel, baptize in the name of the Lord, lead in prayer, serve as pastor and priest, serve as healer and reconciler, and open the doors of the parish to all people. The congregation in return promises to support and uphold the new rector in their ministry together.
The service will include a specific liturgy, a sermon (by the Rev. Kristin White,
St. Augustine’s, Willimette, Illinois), Holy Eucharist, and special music for the occasion provided by the Senior and children’s choirs.
The reception is expected to begin around 8:15 p.m. If parents require childcare in order to attend the service themselves, please call the Parish Office at (216) 932-5815 so that we can plan appropriately.
