Zoom Newcomer Gathering

All St. Paul’s newcomers (those who have joined us in the past two years or so) are invited to a special Zoom Newcomer Gathering. We’ll have an opportunity to get to know the other new faces in the congregation, as well as learn about some of the ways we can get involved. All attendees will […]

An Exploration of the Gospel of Mark

This Lenten Bible Study will explore the Gospel of Mark — the primary source of our Sunday Gospel readings for this year. The sessions will shine a spotlight on Mark’s unique approach to telling the “good news of the story of Jesus, the Son of God” and will combine tools of historical, literary, and textual […]

Prayers for Repentance & Reconciliation

Pause for a few moments on Fridays in Lent to be nourished by the ancient words of scripture and to pray a special Litany of Repentance. The service will be led by members of St. Paul’s Sacred Ground circles, a ministry of the Episcopal Church that fosters racial healing, reconciliation, and justice. By embracing the […]

A River Through the Desert

In this year’s Lent forum offering, we’ll travel to Israel and explore the geography of the Holy Land in a virtual pilgrimage from St. George’s College Jerusalem. We’ll walk where Jesus walked and see the desert, the water well, the mountain, the sea, the road, and, finally, the garden where Jesus prayed. We are seeking […]

Cancelled – Outdoor Blessing of the Palms

Front Lawn 2747 Fairmount Blvd, Cleveland

We’ll gather for a brief outdoor observance of the Liturgy of the Palms and conclude with a carillon rendition of the hymn, ‘All glory, laud and honor.’ Worshippers will then return home to view the remainder of the service online. Standard safety protocols, including masks and social distancing, will be observed.

Holy Week Kit Pick-Up

Out of an abundance of caution for inclement weather, we have cancelled the outdoor Liturgy of the Palms. We will still hand-out Holy Week bags from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from the rotunda. You may pull into the front circle to pick them up. These Holy Week bags have items to aid you in […]

Evening Prayer

Join us on Zoom to pray the traditional Prayer Book service of Evening Prayer. These simple services will incorporate brief musical offerings.

Maundy Thursday

On this holy night, we recall two central events in the last week of Jesus’ life: his giving of a new commandment to love others as he has loved us, and the institution of the Eucharist. Both of these events took place in an intimate domestic gathering between Jesus and his friends after a meal.

Good Friday Ecumenical Service

Our traditional Good Friday ecumenical service recalls the “seven last sayings of Christ from the cross” with homilies on each of the last sayings. The Rev. Jessie Gutgsell Dodson will be joined by homilists from six neighboring churches.
